I love going walking; being based in Manchester we do lots of walks in Peak District National Park, Derbyshire. This gives me lots opportunities to take photos all year round.

I grew up in Devon so the Peak District was new to me. We do a lot of these walks with my parents-in-law and about three years ago I thought it would be good to learn them, so started to map them on my Phone with an aim to write them out later. The walks on this site are the ones I have done so far.

All the walks were written from memory and information on the map, and I have not put in every tiny little bit of detail so some of my directions may not be as close as they are on the map. All the walks are on good paths so if you find yourself not on a path then you have most likely taken a wrong turn (which I have done many times). We always take Ordnance Survey Maps, and my phone on which I have the ViewRanger app which helps us to get back on track if we get lost.

Have fun walking.
